Bauxite mining
Looking at the earth´s crust, it consists of aluminum for about seven percent.
With this, aluminum is the third most common element besides oxygen and silicon.
The production of aluminum begins with the mineral bauxite, which is located in a belt around the equator.
This mineral will be found underneath a meters thick rock and clay layer. Before mining the bauxite this layer has to be removed first.
Following the bauxite will be transported over conveying belts into plants where it is washed and shreded, before it is good for further process steps.
In this application, you take advantage of our longtime knowledge in conveying technologies.
We know what´s important and how all process parameters need to be put together to keep your plant running safe and economically.
